    Materials list

    Step by step Instructions

    Step One

After downloading the free pattern here, upload the svg to design space. If you need help on how to upload an SVG to design space than check out this tutorial.

To continue to the next screen press the green “Make” button.

    Step two

In the Prepare screen you will see how the color layers will cut on the mat. Each color will cut out on a seperate mat.

Now cut out a piece of glitter vinyl for each layer slightly larger than you will need. If you have several mats you can prepare them now with each color of glitter vinyl or if you have one mat you will need to load the vinyl after each cut.

This is how you want the fabric to look before you load it into the cutting machine. I recommend putting some transfer tape onto your cutting mat first, sticky side up, this will help keep your mat clean. And you will also need to go around the edge of the vinyl with painters tape to hold it in place. And you want the fabric good side down. I used a purple strong grip cutting mat for cutting a heavier fabric such as glitter vinyl.

Press the green “Continue” button to move to the next screen.

    Step three

In the make screen you can choose your cut setting, and blade pressure. In this tutorial I used the “Faux leather (Paper thin)” setting.

Now follow the instructions on your screen on which blade to use. Load your mat and press the flashing “C” button on your machine to cut the fabric.

Here you see all the fabric shapes cut out in each color. I recommend cutting out each of the black web pieces separately. Because of the fine detail the fabric may shift a bit, so it’s easier to cut out one side then the other.

    Step four

Place a line of hot glue (or your adhesive of choice) to the back of the pink rectangle and then press on top of the bow piece.

    Step five

Place a dab of hot glue in the center back of the bow peice and press the edges over to adhere to the center.

    Step six

Place a line of glue along the back of the icing pieces and place along the top edge of the bow.

    Step seven

Put glue on the ends of the candle sticks and then press the flames on top, one at a time.

    Step eight

Place a line of glue along the bottom front of the candle sticks and then press to the back of the bow.

    Step nine

Place a line of glue along the alligator clip and then press to the back of the hair bow.

    Step ten

Put a dab of glue on the end of the bow center piece and press to the inside of the alligator clip. Wrap it around and place another dab of glue on the end and press inside.

    Now your bow is complete!
