    Step by step Instructions

    Step 1

After downloading the free pattern here, upload the svg to design space. If you need help on how to upload an SVG to design space than check out this tutorial.

To continue to the next screen press the green “Make” button.

    Step two

In the Prepare screen you will see how the color layers will cut on the mat. Each color will cut out on a seperate mat.

Now cut out a piece of glitter vinyl for each layer slightly larger than you will need. If you have several mats you can prepare them now with each color of glitter vinyl or if you have one mat you will need to load the vinyl after each cut.

This is how you want the fabric to look before you load it into the cutting machine. I recommend putting some transfer tape onto your cutting mat first, sticky side up, this will help keep your mat clean. And you will also need to go around the edge of the vinyl with painters tape to hold it in place. And you want the fabric good side down. I used a purple strong grip cutting mat for cutting a heavier fabric such as glitter vinyl.

Press the green “Continue” button to move to the next screen.

    Step three

In the make screen you can choose your cut setting, and blade pressure. In this tutorial I used the “Faux leather (Paper thin)” setting.

Now follow the instructions on your screen on which blade to use. Load your mat and press the flashing “C” button on your machine to cut the fabric.

Here you see all the fabric shapes cut out in each color.

    Step four

Place a dab of hot glue on the center back of the red bow and fold over the edge. Repeat this on both sides.

    Step five

Place a dab of hot blue on the center back of the green bow and fold over to seal. Repeat this on both sides.

    Step six

Place a dot of hot glue in the center back of the red candy cane stripes and place it onto the glitter side of the white back.

    Step seven

Place some hot glue along various parts of the back of the red candy cane stripes and press this onto the white glitter back peice.

Here are all the peices assembled with glue and ready to be made into a hair bow.

    Step eight

Put a dab of hot glue on the center back of the green smaller bow and press it to the front center of the larger red bow.

    Step nine

Put a line of hot glue along the center of the candy cane front and press to the back of the red bow.

    Step ten

Put a line of hot glue along the back of the candy cane bow and press onto an alligator hair clip.

    Step eleven

Put a small dab of glue on the end of the band and press it into the hair clip.

Wrap the band around and put a small dab of hot glue on the other end and press it over the begining.

Place a dab of hot glue on the center and press the round candy to the center of the hair bow.

Now your bow is completed and is ready to be worn!
