After downloading the free SVG cut file open up Cricut design space. Select the “Upload” button in the bottom left corner.
Step 2
Select “Upload Image” and then select the file from your downloads file. After you will see it in “Recent Uploads”. Then select “Add to Canvas”.
Step 3
You will now see the designs in your canvas. Select “Ungroup” and then turn off or delete the layers you don’t want.
Step 4
I recommend just cutting the peices out one layer at a time so that if you make a mistake, than you won’t waste material. Than press “Make it”.
Step 5
In the “Prepare” screen you can move the design around where you want it to cut on your mat. Than press “Continue”.
Step 6
In the “Make” screen you can select your cut settings. I am using the “Faux Leather (Paper Thin)” setting and the purple mat for the faux leather. And the “Vinyl” setting with the green mat for the heat transfer vinyl.
Now you can load the fabric into the Cricut machine and press the “C” button to cut.
Step 7
I recommend cutting your material to just the size you need. It can also be helpful to put a peice of transfer tape on top. It helps to keep the fabric in place and keeps your mat clean.
Step 8
Here are the faux leather background cut out and the heat transfer vinyl that I have gone ahead and weeded. Now they are ready to be assembled.
Step 9
Place the heat transfer vinyl on top of the faux leather and you can use heat tape to hold them in place. Sandwich them between two peices of teflon paper. Now you can press for 5-10 seconds on low.
Step 10
Now grab a 4mm jump ring and earring hook and pliers. Twist the jump ring open and layer the earring hook and earring and then twist to close.
All done!
Now your earring is complete. This is a really easy earring that you can make in lots of different colors.
