Holly berries are an essential part of every Christmas season celebration. This bow features holly berries and holly leaves together to make a festive bow. You can use it to make a hair bow or scale up the size and use it to decorate a Christmas wreath.

Download the free pattern here, and then upload it to Cricut design space. If you need help on how to upload SVG patterns to Design space than check out this tutorial. Below you will see the SVG cut file loaded to the canvas.
Once the design loads to Design space, you will see that pieces are different colors. This means that each color will cut out one at a time. If you want to make any changes select the layer and change the color to have it cut out at a different time. Alternately you can turn the layers on or off to print them one by one.
Once you are satisfied with how you want to cut the layers out press the green “Make” button.
Step Two
In the prepare window you will see that each color is displayed on a seperate mat. Take the time to arrange the pieces on the mat how you want them to be cut.
Step Three
Observe the area that the design will be cut and cut out each color in your vinyl a tiny bit bigger, so that it is ready to be put onto mats for cutting.
Step Four
Now place the vinyl, nice side facing down, onto your mat. I recommend using the purple sticky mat with faux leather. If you place contact paper onto your mat it will help keep your mat clean and last longer. Use painters tape to tape around the edges to help hold the fabric in place while cutting.
If you only have one mat than you will have to place and remove the vinyl after each cut. If you have more mats than go ahead and place the fabric on them to be prepared to be cut.
Step Five
Once you press the “Continue” button in the Prepare window it will bring you to the next screen which is the project window. Here I recommend selecting the “Faux leather” setting and you can choose which ever pressure you like. Follow the instructions on the screen to upload the fine-point blade and load your cutting mat into you machine.
When you mat is loaded go ahead and press the flashing “C” button on the machine and it will begin to cut your fabric.
Once it is done it will immediately move on to the next mat. So you can either load your mat that is already set up, or if you are working with one mat than remove the fabric and load the next color.
Now press the flashing “C” buttin to cut out the next mat. Now continue this process till all the shapes are cut out.
Step Six
Below you can see all the shapes cut out. Now you are ready to assemble your bow. So now get your glue gun plugged in and let’s get ready to assemble the bow.
Step Seven
Now it’s time to glue the individual pieces. First place a small amount of glue on the center of the gold bow and press one side over and hold till the glue dries. Now copy this on the other side to complete the bow part, and set aside for later.
Take the light green stem parts and put a tiny bit of hot glue along the back side. Now glue these onto the darker green leaves, and set aside.
Take the three little white circles and put a small amount of hot glue on the back and affix them to the larger red circles. I think it looks nice if the white is off to the side in stead of centered, but this is up to you.
Step Eight
Take the gold bow and place bit of hot glue in the center back and press it down onto the green leaves.
Take the assemble bow and leaves and place a bit of hot glue along the back of this and press it onto the green bow tails.
Step Nine
Run a bead of hot glue along the top of an alligator hair clip and press this onto the back of the bow you just finished gluing together.
Step Ten
Take the center band and put a dab of hot glue on the end and press it to the inside of the alligator clip.
Now wrap it around the bow center and place another dab of hot glue on the end and press it into the back of the alligator clip.
Now your bow is assembled and you can now decorate it with the red berries.
Step Eleven
Place a small bead of hot glue on the back of the berries and assemble them in the center of the bow.
Now your bow is complete and is ready to be worn to your next Christmas party.
