I get asked a lot what products I use to create my tutorials and designs. Here I’ve compiled a list of the products I use most to create my etsy listings, tutorials, and videos.

A lot of crafting has to do with personal preference so I recommend doing a test to find out just the perfect paper/fabric texture and weight to compliment your project. There are a lot of variables to consider such as what paper thickness can fit through your printer and what are you going to use to cut the designs out (Cricut, craft knife etc.). Make sure to test before starting a project to double check your print settings and print quality before commiting to your good or expensive material. Remember the adage “Measure twice, cut once”.
Paper
When making craft tags or cards I recommend using a heavy cardstock of around 100lb or 12 pt. I always keep white, ivory, and brown Kraft on hand. I find these are my three go to colors.
Chipboard
Chipboard is also an amazing craft room product. There is no way you will be able to put this through your printer, its a super heavy, stiff cardstock like product. It’s great for putting into envelopes to make them ridgid when mailing artwork, punch out tags for gift wrapping or you can cut it and use it to build things. It’s all around great for additing stability to projects. I like to keep the 22 pt chipboard on hand which is the thinest, in the past I have purchased mine from Uline. But Uline is for bulk purchases, if you want to buy a small amount to give it a try here is a link for some on Amazon.
Faux leather vinyl
When creating hair bows, earrings, other small accessories including wallets, and purses. The material I use most frequently is faux leather vinyl. I purchase this from Amazon. There are many different options available including glitter vinyl, patterned vinyl, and puffy vinyl. Here are the links to my favorite vinyls.
Glue
Modge Podge
Modge Podge is an crafting glue that has been around for a long time and has a lot of uses. There are also several varieties for sale including glossy or matt, I recommend having both on hand. I usually pick mine up at my local Walmart craft section, but you can also find it online if you prefer the convenience of online shopping. Here is a link from Amazon.
Crafting tools
I am always shopping in my local department stores or online for new tools. But there are some that I use repeatedly in my craft room.
Craft punches
I recommend having three hole punch sizes the 0.06″ is excellent for creating earring holes, the 0.12″ is great for accessory card display, and the 0.24″ is great for adding a fashionable style to hang tags.
Tag punch
Turn anything into a tag with this tag punch. You can also use it on super thick paper to create tags for decorating gifts, pricing products, or making hang tags.
Mini iron
A mini iron is a fantastic tool if you work with heat transfer vinyl. There are so many times I’ve just needed to transfer a small design especially with earrings or baby clothes. You can buy a brand name mini iron from Cricut or you can find off brand ones from china on Amazon. I bought the one below on Amazon and I love it.
Cutting machine
Cutting machines make your life really easy. After you get back the initial learning curve of setting it up with your computer and getting used to the software that is normally included with your machine, than your off.
The most popular brands are Cricut and Silhouette. I currently use the Cricut Maker, and the Cricut Maker 3, shown below, is there most recent version and can tackle any project.
