Than place onto the craft felt and trace out the design.
Cut out two large circles in the colored felt.
Trace two small circles in the colored felt with a disapearing ink pen.
With pinking shears cut along the outer side of the small circles.
Cut out small circles in white felt as well as cardboard.
Take two strands of embroidery thread, knot the end and thread onto an embroidery needle.
Do a long running stitch approx 3-4 mm from the edge of the large circle.
Pull the thread to gather the circle.
Add a small amount of stuffing, don’t add to much or it will make the macaron too round.
Place the small cardboard circle and pull the thread tight to hold it in place.
Loop the thread through the last few stitches to hold in place.
Here are the two finished pieces.
Place a thin strand of hot glue along the edge of the fabric and you can also place some in the center. Don’t put too much or it will show.
Place the small colored felt circle on top of the hot glue. Press onto a table top to get a nice flat seal.
Place a thin line of hot glue on the small colored felt and press the white felt on top. Press onto a table top to get a flat seal.
Place some more hot glue along top of one white piece and now press the two pieces together to sandwich all the felt together.
Now your felt macaron is complete.
