Hand sanitizer keychain tutorial

Hand sanitizer holders are so popular right now and are great for making it easy to find your little bottles of sanitizer instead of digging through your purse.

These cute hand sanitizer holders are such an fun craft. They are easy to make and just use a small amount of craft vinyl so that means you can make tons of them.

They can be made up in just under 20 min and are great for keeping your hand sanitizer handy for when you need it. Hand sanitizer is great to use after touching shopping cart handles or other commonly used surfaces in public.

How to make a Hand sanitizer holder

  1. First download and print off the free pattern and cut out the paper pattern

2. Than trace out the pattern onto your material and than cut out the fabric

3. Top stitch the centre hole

4. Place the elastic along the middle of the side with the tab. Top stitch along the entire edge catching the elastic on both side. In the photo I show the underside just to show the elastic placement. Its better to sew along the front since that’s these that will be seen.

5. Attach key chain hop to holder by sewing tab to the holder.

6. Trim elastic to the same shape as the fabric and than carefully use a lighter to get rid of extra string and seal the edges. Taking care not to singe the fabric or burn your hands.

7. Pick out front and back snaps

8. Punch out holes for snap with hole punch

9. Attach snaps to tab and to bottom so that the sanitizer hold can be closed.

10. Now you are all done and ready to attach your cute new sanitizer to your purse or bag.
