1. Invest in yourself
Taking a blogging course can be a great way to build your knowledge. I am always signing up for new courses and here are a few of my favorites so far:
- Pintrest strategies is a great course for learning how to increase views with pintrest
- List love Master class by Jennifer maker List Love is definitely on my must have list of courses when you are first starting out blogging. This is the best course for getting you started and will teach you how to easily get your email list started.
- Income school Income school the the first blogging course I took. It is an excellent investment because you get a ton of information. As well as community support and the information is regularly updated.
If you don’t have a budget right now for courses there are lots of free online resources including:

2. Have a great About page
Most people click here automatically looking for some direction for your site. They want to know who is writing the blog and what the blog is about. Make sure to have a picture of your self, a bio, links to important or popular blog posts, as well as a sign up form. A huge amount of my email sign ups occur on my about page.
3. Make it all about your list
Whenever you creat content on your blog you should have everything about funelling people to sign up to your list. Having a list is a great way to reach out to people about new products your have and new blog posts. Its also a great way to monetize your blog.
4. Read blogger income reports
Do a search for blogger income reports on google or pintrest. They are a great way to see other bloggers journey. Bloggers will share links to the products they use and how much they make each month. Make sure to not just look at the big amonts they make right now, it can be more relatable to check out their first couple of months income reports to see how they got starte.
5. Make it easy to connect with you
Have links to all of your social media accounts including facebook, twitter, instagram, and of course your email list accessible right away. Include it on your emails, your blog posts, you blog pages. Make it easy for people to find you.
6. Be yourself
When writing posts be yourself. You don’t have to make yourself sound like an expert right away. People love reading beginner posts because they are relatable. People read blog for the personal touch. Be yourself with your blog and have fun writing.
